Our Procedures

Patient Comfort

Patient Comfort

During your visits with our office, our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible. The following are some of the latest techniques we use to keep you comfortable:

Antibiotic Pre-medication

Patients with certain medical conditions (e.g. valvular heart conditions and artificial joints) may be asked to pre-medicate with antibiotics prior to treatment. We do this with your safety in mind, in consultation with your treating physician. Please inform us if you have a condition that might require antibiotic pre-medication.

Injections of Anesthesia

We use a topical anesthetic on your gums first to desensitize them. Then, we administer the injection very slowly to reduce the discomfort that can be experienced.

Oral Anxiolysis

Different patients have different needs for pain and anxiety control. Depending upon the procedure and your specific needs, there are many oral medications we can prescribe.

Intravenous Sedation

We also offer closely monitored conscious IV sedation. Sedation is provided by a trained dental anesthesiologist to remove anxiety-inducing sights, sounds, and stimuli. This level of sedation may be similar to ‘twilight” sedation that you may have had for other medical procedures.

Your comfort is one of our primary concerns. If you have any questions about your anesthesia or sedation options, please do not hesitate to discuss these with us.

Patient Safety

We adhere to the highest professional standards of cleanliness, sterilization, and radiation control. Our staff regularly attend safety seminars and are knowledgeable on the latest techniques.
